What is the RSTRENG calculation? What are the abnormal operating conditions that may occur?

This is a self-paced course comprising 7 parts in the RSTRENG series. It begins with 4 modules focused on Understanding and Recognizing Pipe Defects, followed by sections on Evaluating the Remaining Strength of Corroded Pipe, a walkthrough of how to use the RSTRENG tool, and modules on Pitting and RSTRENG Input/Report interpretation.

The course covers key objectives, including:

  • Why pipelines fail (leaks, ruptures)
  • The critical roles involved in pipeline integrity
  • Field verification challenges and considerations
  • The value of in-the-field ILI verifications
  • How to locate and define coating holidays and pipe defects
…and much more.

Note: This is the self-paced version of the previously offered one-day, live-virtual RSTRENG course. If you've already taken the live-virtual course, you will recognize much of the material.

At the end of the course, there are two exams:

  • Upon successfully passing the first exam, you will receive a 7-hour PDH certificate

  • If you complete the assignment, submit it to Joe Pikas, and receive approval, you will also be eligible for RSTRENG Level 1 Certification
  • Video time: 7 hours
  • Exams: 2
