Course overview
What are the basics of cathodic protection and corrosion circuits? How can you define AC/DC electrical concepts and types of electrical circuits? What are the differences between anodic and cathodic corrosion cells, and what is MIC?
This one-hour
self-paced course will cover basic cathodic protection and corrosion circuits
and includes terms, definitions, corrosion rates, external microbial induced
corrosion, and pipeline stresses.
At the end of
this course, students will be able to define AC/DC electrical concepts, name
the types of electrical circuits, types of corrosion, and differentiate between
anodic/cathodic corrosion cells, galvanic series, and MIC.
